World of Outlaws Preview: Huset's Speedway
Brandon, SD-- June 29, 2009—After Mother Nature was victorious in the World of Outlaws first scheduled event of the season at Huset's Speedway in South Dakota back in early May, the series returns to the high-banked bullring on Friday, July 3 to kick off the Holiday weekend with a full night of racing. The event will be the first of six consecutive races on tracks 3/8-mile or smaller as the schedule really picks up in the next week and a half.
Craig Dollansky won both of the World of Outlaws races at Huset's Speedway last season. In the last eight races at the track, there have been seven different winners, with Dollansky the only repeat victor in that span. Dating back to the World of Outlaws debut at the track in 1983, 11 different drives have picked up wins with the series.

WHAT
• The World of Outlaws head north to the upper Midwest to begin the Holidays weekend with a stop at Huset's Speedway in South Dakota on Friday, July 3 for the series only stop at the high-banked bullring this season after Mother Nature was victorious at the track in early May. The series then makes a trip south to Eagle Raceway in Nebraska on the Fourth of July for their only race of 2009 in the Cornhusker state. Craig Dollansky won both events at Huset's Speedway last season and also was victorious at Eagle Raceway. In the last eight events for the series at Huset's there has been seven different drivers pick up wins and five different winners in the last five events at Eagle.

XXX chassis carries Kirkpatrick, Carpenter, Boyce and Shelton to victories
The XXX chassis picked up more wins this past weekend. Triple X Race Co.'s success at Skagit Speedway continued as Brian Kirkpatrick and Kelsey Carpenter both picked up main event victories. Bill Boyce got his first win of the year in a sportsman sprint at Bridge County Raceway in Alberta and Heath Shelton earned his first victory in the limited sprint division at Cottage Grove Speedway.

Greg Cybulski, WINNIPEG, MB (June 28, 2009) Prairie Dirt Classic Weekend is just days away and the energy is building towards the hottest open wheel racing of the summer as the dirt track race fans of the Canadian Prairies prepare for the winged 360 Sprint Cars of the American Sprint Car Series. Highlighting the two race weekend will be the debut of the ASCS at Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The speedway will host teams from two territories, the Alberta-based ASCS CanWest and the ASCS Northern Plains. The $2,000-to-win, Sunshine Toyota ASCS Sprint Car Special is scheduled for Thursday, July 2 and will feature championship caliber drivers from Western Canada and the Upper Midwest. Amongst the drivers competing will be 2007-2008 NOSA points champion Lou Kennedy Jr of Winnipeg, Manitoba, two-time ASCS Northern Plains points champion Lee Grosz of Harwood, North Dakota, 2008 Alberta Sprint Tour points champion Gord Kynoch of Spruce Grove, Alberta, 2008 Prairie Dirt Classic winner Sean Moran of Sherwood Park, Alberta and 2008 River Cities Speedway champion Wade Nygaard of Fargo, North Dakota, who was just recently confirmed as attending.

BLEICH BLITZES TWIN 15’S AT OHSWEKEN WHILE “THE GUNSLINGER” GETS FIRST WIN OF ‘09

Billy Bleich, Jr. is now the driver to beat in ESSO Thunder Stock competition at Ohsweken Speedway. After taking his first feature win of the season at Ohsweken last week, Bleich claimed both ends of Twin 15’s night for the Thunder Stocks on Friday night. In the Corr/Pak Sprint Car division, Ryan Hunsinger was the victor for the first time in ’09, while Mitchell Brown continued his winning ways in ESSO Mini Stock action, and Rodney Rutherford claimed a thrilling Bomber feature. Kids Box Car races were a highlight of the night, while things ended with a bang - literally - when the Mini Vans took to the track for a Figure 8 race and Demolition Derby.

Defending Class Champions Win Sprint Car Mains at Skagit Speedway

Alger, WA - It was a good night to be a defending champion in the sprint car divisions at Skagit Speedway. In the Budweiser 360 class, Brian Kirkpatrick took his K&B Racing #7k XXX to victory lane after inheriting the lead on lap six. Travis Rutz led the first five laps, but slowed to a stop on the sixth circuit with an ignition box problem. This handed the lead to Kirkpatrick, the defending 360 champion, who led every lap that follow en route to his second victory of '09. Second went to Brock Lemley in the Haling Seafood #40 XXX, third to Alan Munn in the Munn Construction #42 XXX. Kirkpatrick also set quick time. Rutz got his ignition fixed and worked his way all the way back to fourth in his Rutz Racing #8 XXX. Heat race wins went to Rod Perkins in the Classic Rock 92.9 #69 XXX and Lemley.

Crockett Covers ASCS Regional Showdown at Great Falls
Shawn Miller, GREAT FALLS, Mont. (June 27, 2009) – It was anything but a routine victory for Roger Crockett in Saturday night's 30-lap ASCS Rocky Mountain vs. Northwest finale at Electric City Speedway. But, to little surprise, the ASCS Northwest Region's winningest driver used a late-race pass to claim the victory.
"That's why it's so entertaining for the fans because you never know what's going to happen," said Crockett, who now has seven Northwest Region wins over the past two seasons.

Ridge overcame more than both Friday night at Electric City Speedway, where the 20-year-old racer picked up his first career sprint car victory in the American Sprint Car Series Northwest vs. Rocky Mountain Region event.

Olson races at Dirt Cup, first visit to Great Falls next
Mitch Olson had high hopes for the Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup this past weekend at Skagit Speedway. While Lady Luck smiled on some people, Mitch wasn’t one of them as bad luck plagued his weekend aboard the No. 98m Shark-powered KPC sponsored by SC Fuels, Olson Bros. Excavating, Pro Vac, PRS Group and PMI Truck Bodies & Powder Coating. Now, Mitch looks forward to this weekend’s big ASCS event at Electric City Speedway in Montana.
